STRANGER

It came to my knowledge that some people just read blogs or just comment on them .. they do not maintain their own blog. These people are strangers. Some of them might even like it that way right? Well I don’t :P

Create a blog stranger. Write your thoughts and ideas. Write your feelings. I would like to get to know you. I would like to hear ur mind working. I would like to know ur deepest inner cravings and longings. What makes you sad stranger? What makes you happy? What makes you tick? I would like to share comments with you & share how we all feel, and then .. you won’t be a stranger any more. :)

This one is for all the I-just-comment/read people out there who are too chicken to make them selves heard :P Talk to me .. I want to hear you (^.^)

To the active bloggers: you do want to hear don’tcha? Tell em. ;)

Beautiful Cats

Ragdoll
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
"Ragdolls are large, loving, laid-back longhairs with beautiful, big blue eyes. Ragdolls adore their humans. They run to greet you at the door, follow you from room to room, flop on you, sleep with you, and love you. They are gentle, carefully avoid scratching people, and are good with children, the elderly, and dogs. Ragdolls tend to be floor cats, not jumpers. They feel that humans prefer purrs to yowls, and keep their voices softly musical."

Somali

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

"The Somali is a breathtaking cat to behold. It bears an uncanny resemblance to a little fox, with its large ears, masked face, full ruff and bushy tail. Somalis are intelligent cats, and while active, they have soft voices and are usually quiet. They communicate with human family members through soft mews and possess a charming trill. They are extroverts and very social. Possessed with a zest for life, they love to play, solicit nuzzles and pats, and thrive on human companionship. Many Somalis can manipulate faucets, and they love to play with water."

Birman

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
"The Birman cat is believed to have originatedin Burma, where it was considered sacred, the companion cat of the Kittah priests. There is a legend as to how the Birmans developed the colors they are today: “Originally, the guardians of the Temple of LaoTsun were yellow-eyed white cats with long hair. The golden goddess of the temple, Tsun-Kyan-Kse, had deep blue eyes. The head priest, Mun-Ha, had as his companion a beautiful cat named Sinh. One day the temple was attacked and Mun-Ha was killed. At the moment of his death, Sinh placed his feet on his master and faced the goddess. The cat’s white fur took on a golden cast, his eyes turned as blue as the eyes of the goddess, and his face, legs and tail became the color of earth. However, his paws, where they touched the priest, remained white as a symbol of purity. All the other temple cats became similarly colored. Seven days later, Sinh died, taking the soul of Mun-Ha to paradise.” "

Ocicat

"This magnificent spotted cat never fails to steal the show, not to mention the hearts of those fortunate enough to own them. The Ocicat is an agouti spotted cat of moderate type. Originating from interbreeding of Abyssinian, Siamese and American Shorthair, it is the only spotted domestic breed selectively bred to emulate the cats of the wild. "

Is there such a thing as an ugly cat?

Meet the Sphynx
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

"In 1966 a domestic cat gave birth to a hairless kitten in Toronto, Canada. It was discovered to be a natural mutation and the Sphynx cat, as we know it today, came into existence. This cat and a few other naturally hairless cats have been found worldwide. These have magically been produced by Mother Nature and are the foundation for this unusual breed. Cat breeders in Europe and North America have bred the Sphynx to normal coated cats and then back to hairless for more than thirty years. The purpose of these selective breedings was to create a genetically sound cat with a large gene pool and hybrid vigor. This is a very robust breed with few health or genetic problems.
Some people who suffer from cat allergies can tolerate living with Sphynx cats. However, depending on the type and severity of the individual's allergic reactions, there are still people who cannot live with this breed."

All I can say about this is sub7an allah :)

School Notes

Imagine sitting in a small class room with 20 give or take air-headed, moqararat grad., tijari majored girls ( I said air-headed). An old teacher (estath) who’s idea of teaching is sitting at the corner of the desk & WHISPER READING the contents of the (Mothakara; a text of 80 pages written by Another Teacher, an Arabic speaking Indian teacher. Written in English Indian.).

Imagine being there since forever! Imagine knowing every possible type of teacher that ever existed & every possible subject they could through at u. Imagine being sick and tired of it & wanting to graduate and move on. Students, ex-students maybe even nostalgic old timers :) U’ll relate.

The next lines contain a number of bla blaz from various note book margines :)

  • Why do I bother :\ yalla mo moshkilla… Mashee ya bana’admeeeeen.
  • Zis iz bool sheet!
  • Enough talking already and start the darned lesson!! and we have to stay like this till when ? ok I know what to do (^.^) Har Di Har.
  • I think I’m runnin outta space :\ bummer!
  • He gets out of the subject a lot don’t he .. mm .. got me lifted shifted higher than the ceilin and oo wee it’s the ultimate feelin .. Goodo.
  • Need sleep, need noom. Why does he keep on repeating what he said!!!!!
  • Got 22 outta 20 in my Networks mid .. how diya like dat! (^.^) ß (has curly hair in note book.)
  • Damn and Blast U!! (pirate style) .. I’m fallin asleep leep leep leep my salsa..
  • Make him stop!! Die motherfucker Die.
  • I think he’s sick today! .. wish I had Stephan king to pull me through this :\ .. maybe not sick .. just an ass .. .. I wish I was a little bit taller I wish I was a baler
  • Shit I can’t concentrate .. caught me u sly sonnofa gun (falling asleep) :\ .. me sleepy bas khalas .. me fall down now .. drop dead.. no more .. no more. … ga3da anam tikfaaaa.. a_-k .. & at -_-_ … _-ly why –o ti-_ ….-_no .. …( fill in the blanks. At this point the writing turned into a falling squiggly line.)

END.

P.S. I’m not saying all teachers are bad. That Indian teacher? Comparatively; he's one of the best, but sometimes you need to actually rewrite his words in order to understand them. Why a person like that would be assigned to write Institution Text books? Kuwait sweet Home :)

This post was inspired by shadyQ8 :) Enjoy.

Star

Little girl with ribbons in her hair
Sitting in the back yard, empty stair
“Look at our pretty garden,” she wails
“Full of bullets and bullet trails!”
She stands up and starts to collect
In her apron, all the bullets she can get

Little girl walking in the streets
Full of soldiers and artillery machines
“Will you trade a bullet for a flower?
I have no use for these empty shells.
They will not grow near the water well,
Will you trade a bullet for a flower?”

Little girl with flowers in her apron
Walking home, her smile hoping,
“I got our flowers back mama,
now we can have a garden again.”
She starts to plant her lovely flowers
She starts to wipe the bloodstained stones.
Until the flowers start to sing,
Until the blood is all but gone.

During the night as they fitfully sleep,
The bullets start to whiz and creep.
Destroying the flowers under the trees
Striking stone, it starts to bleed.

Broken hearted, crest fallen
Our little girl to her mama’s calling
“oh mother it’s happened again!
Will there ever be flowers again?”
She stands up and starts to collect
In her apron, all the bullets she can get.

This one is for Najma, may she find Peace.

Psst...Hey U!

*read in whispers*

yeah U .. got a minute?

Will you lend me your Brain?
Left & Right?

I got an idea for U..

Lower your Eyelids .. yeah that’s it.
Relax your Fingers on the mouse ..

Relax your Toes
Breathe Deeply

Ah ha

Quick now ..
Follow me..

Feel those gentle drums in your chest?
Lift ‘em up
Bit Higher

Feel them Between your Eyes?

Gently now ..
Ah ha

Now picture this.. Picture Silence .. Virginal .. Unmolested
Massive Silence … Uninterrupted

The Silence of Death
Of Birth..
Silence Unbeheld
Untold

Can you imagine such Silence?

Can you hear it walkingIn your Vains?

Come now
With only your eyes
& your gentle drums
There is no room for anything else

You can’t take your worries
Leave them behind
You can’t take your thoughts
Leave them behind
Ur pleasures & Delights
Wounds & Pains
Ur tears?

Leave them behind
Relax

& Release your jealous hold
On this vessel you call Body

NowRole into a dot
Yes .. a dot “ . “
& Loose yourself in the Silence

A Tiny Speck of Nothing
In Total Silence
Just Eyes & Drums

Eyes & Drums

Take my hand now
Float with me?

U Tiny Speck of Nothing..
In a Universe of Silence..

Be Silent now

Take a minute
Embrace the silence all around U
Inside out
&All over.

Wana go deeper?

Be Silence!
Be Silence!

Now open the mouth U left behind
& whisper these magic words:
Slowly

I Am Silence

I Am Silence

I Am Silence
Psst..You can wake up now (^.^)
Feeling any fresher?
Wana go out?
Lovely weather outside.
Hang on a minute.
Take a deep breath
You can go Now..
Have a Peaceful Silent day :)
P.S. Ppl. don’t ask! This post just happened. I hereby declare myself innocent.
Hold your rotten tomatoes.

There is Yet Hope

Yalla Shabab2. East & West.

I don't watch the news. I don't read newspapers & most of the TV shows depress me. I guess it's not in my system to tolerate the state of the world today. It makes me feel that everything is pointless, that life itself; is pointless. But then I see a couple of young men; no different than any young man we see on our streets, along with this ordinary looking American going by the name sheikh 7amza, traveling all over the States bettering the Islamic image and encouraging Muslims all over the world to take a stand and say No, this is not Islam. Islam is … In other words to refuse the bad image pinned on us by some and to show and make clear the true face and identity of Islam. Ri7la ma3a al sheik 7amza is probably the only show on TV I make sure I don't miss. It fills me with pride and a deep sense of relief and gratitude. The world is alright after all. There is yet hope. Yesterdays episode was the best so far, sheikh 7amza gave a speech at a Muslim convention for some 1300 Muslims. The things said were so heart warming. I cannot describe or measure the pride I felt. At the end of the episode a Muslim African American said what I called a rap and my mother called a rant, so I'm just gonna call it a rappin rant :p "dissing" so to speak, the state of unbelievers. State I say and not the unbelievers themselves. And correcting them, guiding them to what is important beyond the circles of spiritual ignorance there stuck in. I was planning on watching the rerun to quote for you some of the things said but unfortunately I slept :p
So I'm afraid you'll have to watch it yourself. 5 pm, mbc. And trust me, if you care, then this is a must see. And if your worried about Girge3an2 then don't, it starts right after it on KTV ;)
Over & Out.
