God Consciousness

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Why do we have to look up in prayer, when God is everywhere! When in despair, all I have to do is look at my hand, watch the intricate marks left by Him on me & imagine my blood with all its contents running through my veins & nurturing every cell. How many cells! Such love & care I’m continuously showered with, I am filled with God; in and all around me. Do you not see the godliness of God in yourself? Do you not see him in trees, in the breeze? Do you not see that even animals are godly? In my little brothers Islamic Religion book, I’ve read that man is not permitted to ponder God’s identity because his brain is not equipped to reach beyond to the ethereal. I couldn’t agree with that, because besides mind there is soul & there is heart. If man can not comprehend the exact location of soul or study its substance nor understand the quality of heart; a mere pumping muscle, which allows it to feel, reach out & sometimes know something without a doubt that can not possibly be known to the mind, how can he assume them too, incapable of knowing God! How can he forbid himself pondering & feeling! I do not know what God is exactly, but I tell you frankly, to me God is a feeling of the wholeness & generosity of life. God is a force & a power of creation & destruction all in one because God is whole & God is everything, He is in the substance of every living creature & every energy form in this universe, He is the creator of all & in all one can see him. Whether we perceive this mentally or not is irrelevant, just call out His name and feel the well being that opens up to you & His presence that fills you, that is enough. And maybe God really doesn’t have an identity because He Is the Whole & identities, after all, are only definitions man has come up with to assist his limited mind in understanding. But to understand God, one has only to feel. Is it blasphemous of me to think so? I don’t know. I only know how I feel when I see Him all around & know him in my being. And I thank Him for that.

what you say is contraty to Islam and its theology

what you said has been said by other people before you ,, you came up with nuthing new

you can know Allah but not in the ways you claim,, Allah best describes him self and you feel the closeness to Allah in obeying him and loving everything that He loves and disliking everything he dislikes

that you obey Him as if you see him,, nay you see Him but he sees you

Allah is not every where !!!

ara7man 3alla al3arsh 2istawaa !!!

is Allah in the bathroom in the strip club in the sewege etc !!!!
astghafar Allah

the prophet (PBUH) told us what we need to know,, and everything of action or word that makes us closer to Allah he(PBUH) has told us about and encouraged us to do
and everything that makes us further away from him of action and saying he has warned us and forbade us from doing

قل إن كنتم تحبون الله فتبعوني يحببكم الله

I believe that God is everywhere. And he is definitely in us. The soul that a mind can’t figure is a part of God. And every living creature on this earth has a soul. It was even stated in all jedo-christian ethics that man bares God’s soul. And God is felt and can easily and logically be understood. And about what was written in your brother’s book; I have to agree with it in a sense that the identity of God can’t be defined: what is he made of? What is his shape? What is his color? Although almost all religions defined God as a fierce light, a simple mind man can not reach that level of shaping God with light. So, this could be true, but still I leave a percentage of doubt. Yet, knowing God is something else. You are right, you know him by your emotions and your logical mind which accepts that all these creations must have a creator. I believe that evil is a natural occurrence when one aspect of creation conflict with another; both in a small scale like pain and death, and in a big scale like natural disasters, but God is always good.

Ayya, I see what you mean, but I'm still not so sure I can agree with it. But I totally agree with you on all the rest. And that's just the beauty of something being Whole, It's a complete circle where everthing completes the other. Consider if there was only good since the start of time .. if there was no bad .. how would man know then that this is good! How would he know what good even is if he's never experianced bad!

Uoooz! Ba3ad chabdi I'm flattered that u miss my posting so much ;) Everything is going great on my side & I hope it's the same for you buddy .. and just 3ashanik I will try to hang out around blogs more often ;)

Dear Peach,

I loved reading your post. It is a very moving and insightful.

Man never stops thinking about his creator, and his purpose in life. Who is god? Why am I here? What will happen when I die? What does god want me to do.

If we believe in all of God's revelations. We must take the time to read scripture in the other holy books. Below is a passage from "The book of Job" in the Old Testament. It is perhaps the most difficult text to understand. Originally written in Hebrew before Jesus.. it attempts to explain God, Evil and why bad things happen to mankind.

Here is an excerpt from Chapter 28, if nothing else it is beatiful prose:

7 There is a path which no fowl knoweth, and which the vulture's eye hath not seen:
8 The lion's whelps have not trodden it, nor the fierce lion passed by it.
9 He putteth forth his hand upon the rock; he overturneth the mountains by the roots.
10 He cutteth out rivers among the rocks; and his eye seeth every precious thing.
11 He bindeth the floods from overflowing; and the thing that is hid bringeth he forth to light.
12 But where shall wisdom be found? and where is the place of understanding?
13 Man knoweth not the price thereof; neither is it found in the land of the living.
14 The depth saith, It is not in me: and the sea saith, It is not with me.
15 It cannot be gotten for gold, neither shall silver be weighed for the price thereof.
16 It cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx, or the sapphire.
17 The gold and the crystal cannot equal it: and the exchange of it shall not be for jewels of fine gold.
18 No mention shall be made of coral, or of pearls: for the price of wisdom is above rubies.
19 The topaz of Ethiopia shall not equal it, neither shall it be valued with pure gold.
20 Whence then cometh wisdom? and where is the place of understanding?
21 Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all living, and kept close from the fowls of the air.
22 Destruction and death say, We have heard the fame thereof with our ears.
23 God understandeth the way thereof, and he knoweth the place thereof.
24 For he looketh to the ends of the earth, and seeth under the whole heaven;
25 To make the weight for the winds; and he weigheth the waters by measure.
26 When he made a decree for the rain, and a way for the lightning of the thunder:
27 Then did he see it, and declare it; he prepared it, yea, and searched it out.
28 And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the LORD, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.

truly,
Misguided

MisGuided, Thank you very much! And you're right it is beautiful ;) I loved it! And I agreed with it right to the very end where we had our first disagreement. I believe the path of love to be closer to the Lord & to wisdom. I agree however that to depart from evil is understanding, but only after you have studies both good, evil & understood the connection between them.

There is one thing I’m not sure I understand, maybe you can explain a little? ;)
“22 Destruction and death say, We have heard the fame thereof with our ears”

Dalal, Thank you very much, welcome to Blog Land & welcome to my humble abode. God bless you too hon ;)

Blashoo, Tani! ;) Is it the desk top thing! That was kinda cool ;)
