100 THINGS
This post is an inspiration ripped off the back of The Don ;) who in turn had ripped it off the back of Another (^.^) and like The Don said: This must be the longest post I’ve ever written or ever will write ;) Enjoy.
1- I believe in god, but my Islamic religion is shaking in its boots!
2- My home is the sea I would love to be buried in it when I die. (half serious wishful thinking)
3- I fall in & out of love in the blink of an eye (not real love I know though sometimes it feels & looks real even to my partner), but after it’s over the affection always remains.
4- I never try to take revenge on people who hurt me, I believe if I just let it go & be passive god will do me fair. This has proven true to me many a time.
5- I’ve discovered recently that I can be a very selfish person. Now I’m working on being semi selfless to counter it.
6- Although he is a good man, my father disappoints me. And yet, I can’t help but love him to tears.
7- I love my mother (^.^) she inspires me!
8- I’ve always been obsessed with trying to be different from my mother & trying to prove to myself at least that I’m my own person & not like her. The irony lies in that the older I get the more I notice how similar we are & I don’t mind it at all!
9- I might unknowingly, never intentionally, hurt people & it always feels like it hurts me more than it hurts them.
10- I love to sway to music & dance like there is no tomorrow.
11- I can’t help my singing in the car habit ;p
12- I have two tattoo's & a belly button ring.
13- I’m too lean on the ones I love, no discipline. So, unless my future hubby is firm my children will turn out to be spoiled brats. Just like my cats ;D
14- I can stay up for a long time with no or little sleep but when I crash .. I could sleep for a whole day.
15- If at some point in the evening I get sleepy I must sleep immediately, otherwise the spell would break & I become hyper active & unable to sleep till the next morning when it’s time to get up .. then I crash! Probably the main reason why I just finished school. ;p
16- If a book grabs me I can literally spend the whole day in bed reading till I finish it.
17- My cats compensate for the lack of children in my life, mine or otherwise.
18- I can sometimes fool people into thinking that I am outgoing & seem to hit it off with different people immediately. But the truth is; I’m very reserved and hardly show half of my self to these people. And yet, I’ve been told that I’m an open book!
19- I am an open book!
20- I love exercise, but I am also a lazy bum, so I have to keep track of my exercise & make up little work tables to ensure that I keep at it.
21- I meditate. Sometimes this takes me places, but most of the time I just sit there & fight with my thoughts!
22- I’m a good secret keeper.
23- I’m a good friend, and yet I am friendless. Almost ;)
24- I am very forgetful. No matter how many times my mom tells me not to forget something & no matter how much I promise I won’t, I end up doing it anyway!
25- I love to learn things. Though most of the time I forget what I learned & only have a vague idea of the topic.
26- I’m terrible at lying. I always get the feeling that the person I’m lying to can read my mind & I become red in the face & my voice starts to shake.
27- When I want something, I want it NOW!
28- When I was a wee bit of a lass I used to envy boys their freedom & wished that I was a boy. Today I am more than grateful I was created Woman.
29- My favorite food is waraq 3inab bil zait, extra lemony ;)
30- My favorite vegetable is black olives, especially non salted ones. Yummy!
31- I can trance out while I listen to deep into music.
32- I’m a speed freak.
33- I love all animals. My favorites are cats, horses, toy dogs & cats ;D
34- My worst nightmare is cockroaches. Even dead ones!
35- I like to hang out with friends & have fun. But I always need lots of time alone to recharge after being around people.
36-I’m basically a very solitary person.
37- I love to take long drives along empty highways. My favorite driving road is shalehat road. Unfortunately, the last time I was there, I had driven all the way up to 290 & then got off road to a little sand formation that I call my mount solitude. I parked my car, climbed to the top & had a good time just sitting there and being. As soon as I got bk on the road however, I was followed from afar by a run down pick up truck that kept blinking it’s lights at me. I freaked out & still haven’t been able to go there alone again. And I think it’s wise that I don’t attempt to.
38- Mount solitude was my secret spot until that incident, I don’t think I’ll ever go there alone again. So maybe I’ll change the name to mount solitude-with-a-friend now ;)
39- I’m too kind, sometimes I think that when god was distributing hearts he ran out when my turn came & gave me a marshmallow instead!
40- I think I’m a bit sadistic.
41- I think I might be bisexual. Not that girls excite me or anything, I just don’t get grossed out about girls being together like I am about guys being together! Or maybe we’re all like that!
42- The yin yang of good & bad in people confuses me.
43- I can be very melancholic.
44- I refuse to believe in bad, I fight it off with good.
45- Simple gifts delights me, the more expensive they are the less I value them.
46- I never carry a purse unless I have to, I prefer back packs.
47- Sometimes I’m silly ;)
48- My mood picks up a positive or negative atmosphere rapidly & intensely. Because I am aware of it I try to consciously counter it. But it’s not always easy.
49- I’m used to depression. I feel safe in it. But I try not allow myself that luxury too much.
50- I don’t get angry often, but when I do .. I sound & look like Donald Duck & ppl have trouble understanding me.
51- I’m a true blue Pisces.
52- I can be cruel sometimes.
53- I still love to watch cartoons, even Tom & Jerry!
54- My room is messy & I hate to throw things away but I seldom loose anything. I know my mess by heart ;)
55- I’m fascinated with vampires & the darker side of the imagination.
56- Stephan King is my all time favorite writer.
57- I can’t draw a straight line.
58- Sometimes I use sleep as a means of escape.
59- Our maids are equals & I treat them like my sisters.
60- I get along much better with other Arabic nationalities than with Kuwaitis.
61- I get along better with guys than with girls. I usually only have one best female friend at a time.
62- If I’m nervous I can get tongue tied & not answer when I’m spoken to. & when I do answer what comes out is either un-audible or extremely embarrassing.
63- The only animal I’m allergic to is rabbit. This allergy I developed at a late age so thankfully I still had the pleasure of keeping little Babse Bunny when I was a kid ;)
64- I don’t give up on my dream’s, it just takes me longer to achieve them!
65- My favorite sitcom is 3rd Rock from the Sun and after that Will & Grace ;)
66- If I have a crush on someone & then find out that other girls have the same crush, I loose interest. Maybe that’s a bit vain but I refuse to be one of many.
67- I see life as one big adventure. Or at least I try to ;)
68- I never regret past actions or mistakes; I view them as experiences, cherish the good times & try to learn as much as I can.
69- I don’t believe in age & that it’s ever too late to start something new or follow a dream.
70- I hate politics & I hate newspapers.
71- I never talk about people behind their backs & I believe this has protected me in turn from people’s tongues.
72- I’d love to be able to dance like a true Indian; sensually with no music but the jingles of their ankle bracelets.
73- I can dance the Lambada & Merengue and currently working on Salsa.
74- I love museums, all kinds of ‘em.
75- I used to be people-phobic.
76- I’m not very intimate with my family. But I’m working on it and things are looking better ;)
77- It bothers me when I find things in common between me and my dad & most of the time its bad stuff, like my selfishness & my anti socialism.
78- I love to PaRteY, but most q8i parties suck so I stopped going.
79- I love motor bikes but most q8i guys suck, so I stopped riding. ( not all of u ;P)
80- I do most things on a spur of the moment idea.
81- My mood swings are utterly unpredictable, even to myself.
82- I’m a bundle of conflicting emotions.
83- I might dislike but I never hate.
84- I drink very occasionally.. well .. it’s not like u have a choice in this country ;)
85- I’m very smart but also a bit slow. Sometimes that makes me look like .. duh!
86- The first movie I ever cried over was Snow White & the Seven Dwarves ;)
87- I don’t fast Ramadan ;p My family doesn’t know but since my bro is a blogger .. now they might ;D lol sorry to disappoint u bro.
88- I’ve tried astral projection with no results, but one day I’ll make it. Be ware lest I appear to you out of no where someday ;p
89- I love swimming, taming wild jet skies & most water sports.
90- I love to sing & have a good voice. I would love to take vocal lessons but I don’t know where to look .. any ideas?
91- I’m obsessed with candles & perfume.
92- I breed cats in my own room behind my dad’s back hehehe
93- I love tanning.
94- I spent the first 5 yrs of my life in Tennessee, I think because of that I’m a red neck at heart.
95- I like to sit unobserved and watch people. I try to imagine what they could be thinking & how they feel & how their lives are, where they came from just then and where they’re going. Especially little boys playing football, it seems like their whole little existences in that moment revolve around that ball.
96- I speak a little Spanish and understand a little Persian.
97- I’m extremely indecisive & have no idea what I’m going to do with myself now that I’ve finally graduated. Being caged & saddled down is mostly why I can’t seem to make up my mind. My freedom is too valuable to me. Alas, this is not logical thinking and I will have to give it up soon ;)
98- I was told that I was a brutal war lord in a past life, who did terrible terrible things. And so in this life I am almost too kind in order to compensate for my past self’s evil actions. What a load of bull huh! lol
99- I like being single. Sometimes I am plagued by thoughts of family and so on and so forth .. but all is good in it’s own time. And being single still rules ;D
100- I HATE SUSHI!!!!!!

Number 83 is totally how I thought you would be..
But let me stop, or I’ll be commenting on all points.. I would like to say something here, your list is the most effective list I have read, for it carries allot of unspoken things about you.. things that no one knows, and that’s the best thing about the exercise, many people have done the list, but they barely brushed on the surface of what they actually have deep deep inside.. some of them used allot of humor as a defense mechanism to get through the list, and many veered off by talking about other people… not this list.. This is a Hardcore things to know about you, and it does feel like I know you much better today.. see the similarities and respect the differences and NEVER JUDGE you. Not judging is very hard for most people.. and I am sure you knew when you wrote this that there are many people that will be judging you and think less of you for saying that you don’t agree with them with many things mainly religion, it’s just the way they were brought up, I don’t think that will effect you really.. I think you did something great for your self.. I know I did.. :)
Oh and thanks for the mentioning, or I would have looked for you and forced a cigarette down your throat.. LOL
It's is wonderful to have a litle insight to who you are, because you are always (thats how I feel) specially nice to me, which i appriciate very much.as am sufferng from a little negativitie in the bloggersphere and am silent about it, like you I choose to be passive so you coming out with the confession of your passivity is a relief, and te fight the bad with good also but it is tiring and very nerve gritting no?. And when you come into my blog it feels good that makes up for alot of things.. And well reading more about you feels good too. And you bieng a pisces you must be funny because they like to be vengful but they do nothing(too soft a heart, feels too much regret), and when they voice thier conspiracies they are way too funny to be taken seriously very inventive indeed.LOL

I’m glad you find my list effective, but like it says I am pretty honest and don’t know how to lif and door lol so there u got it ;) whatcha see is whatcha get. About judging well maybe that’s something I should have mentioned, I learned long ago not to give a rat’s ass about the judgments of others, what they think is up to them, what I am is up to me. And about religion, well, let’s just say I got disappointed.

Why don’t u rip this inspiration offa me and show us soma U? ;) I’d like to get the same insight about you and get to know you better, although I must say intay ghaniya 3an el ta3reef but ham it would be nice ;) And you know what! Even if fighting bad with good is sometimes frustrating, as soon as you realize you remained good through it all you feel lots better and you go home with a clear conscious and that’s what matters the most, that you stay clean on the inside no matter what goes on around you.

Nooni, I’m glad I’m not alone in this lol I mean what’s to read! It’s all so depressing! I like some sea food like clams, calamari & sometimes shrimps. I eat fish only because it’s good for you and I’ve been told I need it (dry skin and whatnot) ;) So I try to like it, I tried to like sushi too but so far no luck lol 3ala eedich ;)

Flamingoliya, That’s great! As much a bad trait as selfishness is considered, it’s humbling when you realize it’s only a human trait and we are only human. Then you get to thinking, man is a creature that can be bettered, so what have we done to better man? ;) Thanks for sharing hon. O take your time you don’t have to read all that gibberish! ;p
